Yours Truly Weddings At Capella Pedregal

Weddings at Capella Pedregal are my absolute favorite days at work.  In the morning, there is a feeling of excitement in the air.  Final preparations are made so that the couple’s dream can be realized.

During February all Capella Hotels and Resorts celebrate the Month of Romance, with special activities planned at the resort.  This seemed like the perfect time to visit with Capella Pedregal’s Wedding and Romance Specialist, Cecilia Villanueva.  As we sat looking at photo albums and discussing past events, Cecilia told me about some of the couples she had worked with in planning Capella’s signature Yours Truly weddings.

One couple, Kristin and Josh, had written a note about their experience.  It read, “We looked at all the resorts in and around Cabo San Lucas for our wedding, and the choice was easy and obvious.  Capella Pedregal was an amazing mix of luxury and service.  The views, the sunrises and sunsets, a restaurant carved in the cliffs, infinity pools overlooking absolutely gorgeous beach, rooms that are unique and luxurious.  There’s just no place like Capella.”

Bodas en la Playa en Capella Pedregal

Mis días favoritos en el trabajo es cuando hay día de boda en Capella Pedregal. En la mañana, hay un sentimiento de emoción en el ambiente. Se realizan los preparativos finales para que los sueños de la pareja se cumplan.

Durante febrero todos los Hoteles y Resorts Capella celebran el Mes del Amor, mediante actividades especiales planeadas en nuestros resorts. No había mejor excusa entonces, para visitar a Cecilia Villanueva, especialista de Bodas y Romance en Capella Pedregal. Mientras nos sentamos a ver albumes de fotos y recordar ceremonias pasada, Cecilia me platicó sobre algunas de las parejas con las que ha trabajado planeando las características bodas Yours Truly de Capella.

Una de estas parejas, Kristin y Josh, han escrito una nota acerca de su experiencia. The Capella Pedregal Kids Club

Capella Kids

Often I am asked about activities for our younger guests here at Capella Pedregal.  In addition to nanny services, which are offered on an hourly basis, the Capella Pedregal Kids Club provides half-day, full day, evening and week-long programs.  I often visit them while they are making sand castles on the beach or banana splits in the kitchen and I can never tell who is having more fun – the kids or Capella Pedregal’s new Kids Club Coordinator, Elideth Loaiza.

Eli, as she is affectionately known, is beloved by both our young guests and their parents.  She has a youthful spirit and is always full of ideas for fun games and activities.

Capella Pedregal Kids ClubShe always has a new activity for the kids.  From building kites to fly on the beach, to treasure hunting or cooking classes, Eli is always dreaming up something new!  I asked Eli what the most popular activity was and she shared the details of movie night.  “Everyone gathers outside under the Palapa.  There we set up a screen to show movies on, while the kids enjoy popcorn, pizza, and other treats made especially for us!”

El Club de los Niños en Capella Pedregal

A menudo me preguntan por las actividades para nuestros huéspedes más jóvenes aquí en Capella Pedregal. Además del servicio de niñera, el cual se ofrece en tarifa por hora, El Club de Niños de Capella ofrece programas de medio día, día completo y de una semana. A menudo los visito mientras hacen sus castillos de arena en la playa o banana splits en la cocina, y nunca puedo decir quien se está divirtiendo más – los niños o la nueva coordinadora del Club de Niños, Elideth Loaiza.

Eli, como la conocemos de cariño, es adorada por ambos, nuestros jóvenes huéspedes y sus padres. Ella tiene un espíritu muy joven y siempre tiene muchas ideas para organizar divertidos juegos y actividades.

Siempre tiene alguna nueva actividad para los niños. Desde construir papalotes para volarlos en la playa, hasta jugar al tesoro escondido o incluso clases de cocina, Eli siempre esta soñando con algo nuevo! Le pregunte a Eli cual era la actividad más popular y me dijo que sin lugar a dudas era la noche de películas: “todos se reúnen afuera bajo la palapa. Ahí ponemos una pantalla para proyectar películas mientras los niños disfrutan de palomitas de maíz, pizza y otros bocadillos cocinados especialmente para nosotros!”

Además del programa normal del Club de los Niños, Eli organiza activiades especiales en cualquier festividad y fechas importantes. The Perfect Romantic Getaway At Capella Pedregal

At Capella Pedregal love is always in the air, but this is never more true than during February.  I am especially excited about it, because every department at the resort has added their own contribution to create the most special, personalized romantic experiences for our guests.  Seeing as the Month of Romance is just around the corner, I had to take the opportunity to share some of our special plans for the perfect romantic getaway with you.  To get the behind-the-scenes details, I spoke to Director of Sales and Marketing, Shirley Dunn Hanks.

“With the purpose of celebrating love we have created special experiences, packages and amenities, with which our guests will be able to de-stress, impress and express their feelings to one another,” says Shirley.  “Some of our romantic themed offerings are aphrodisiac cooking classes, romantic movie nights on the beach, private beach or wine room dinners, couples spa treatments, hand-crafted specialty cocktails, turn down amenities with artisan chocolates made in-house, romantic rose petal turndown, artisan souvenirs, to name just a few.”

“The romantic turndown is one of my most favorite amenities for couples,” continues Shirley, “with the candles lit throughout the room, arousing a special ambiance, rose petals, in every color, handcrafted into the shape of a heart on the bed by our skilled turndown attendant.  After that, indulging in a warm bubble bath with aromatic salts while enjoying a glass of chilled Champagne and romantic music is playing in the background, the fireplace lit…  Our goal is to entice love and unforgettable memories, which will last a lifetime – or at least until your next visit to the resort.”

En Capella Pedregal el amor está siempre en el aire, pero nunca como durante Febrero. Estoy especialmente emocionada, por que cada departamento en el resort a contribuido a crear las más especiales y románticas experiencias para nuestros huéspedes. Viendo que el Mes del Amor está a la vuelta de la esquina, me tomé la oportunidad de compartirles algunos de los planes especiales que tenemos. Para obtener los detalles “tras bambalinas”, hablé con la Directora de Ventas y Marketing, Shirley Dunn Hanks.

“Con el propósito de celebrar el amor hemos creado experiencias únicas, comodidades y paquetes, con los cuales nuestros huéspedes serán capaces de des-estresarse, impresionar y expresar sus sentimientos hacia sus seres queridos” dice Shirley. “Algunos de nuestras ofertas románticas son las clases de cocina afrodisíaca, noches de cine romántico en la playa, cenas privadas en la playa o en nuestra cava, tratamientos de spa para parejas, cocteles artesanales, dulces artesanales de chocolate casero en la alcoba, escenografías de pétalos de rosas, y recuerdos artesanales, por nombrar sólo algunos.”

“Uno de mis favoritos para las parejas es la preparación romántica de la alcoba,” añade Shirley, “con la habitación iluminada por la luz de las velas, alcanzando un ambiente único, pétalos de rosas, en diversos colores, artesanalmente dispuestos en forma de corazón sobre la cama por nuestras habilidosas mucamas. Después de esto, consentirse con un delicioso baño de burbujas con sales aromáticas mientras se disfruta una copa de Champagne a una temperatura perfecta y música romántica de fondo, la chimenea encendida… Nuestra meta es detonar el amor y esos recuerdos inolvidables que durarán toda la vida – o  por lo menos, hasta tu próxima visita al resort.”
